Tax Senior / Tax Manager – This Role Is Ideal For\n- \n
- A Tax Manager who is ready to run a sizeable portfolio (around 250 clients) as their own, rather than servicing one that belongs to someone else. \n

This firm is an independently-run chartered accountancy practice based in the North West, providing accountancy and business advice to a loyal client base across the region. It's a close-knit team that prides itself on building strong, lasting client relationships — the kind of environment where a new manager's input is genuinely felt, not lost in a large hierarchy.
Tax Senior / Tax Manager – Why This Role Exists\nThe firm's personal tax client base has grown to the point where it needs a dedicated manager to take proper ownership of it, managing the day-to-day compliance workload while freeing up senior people to focus on higher-value advisory and business development work. It's a role that comes with real scope to grow as the portfolio and the firm's service offering expand.
Tax Manager – Responsibilities\nPortfolio leadership:

- Take full ownership of a portfolio of around 250 personal tax clients and returns. \n
- Manage compliance deadlines and quality across the portfolio, acting as the main point of contact. \n
Client advisory:
\n- \n
- Build relationships directly with clients, identifying opportunities to add value beyond compliance. \n
- Develop into trust work, tax planning and Corporation Tax advisory as the role matures. \n
Leadership & team development:
\n- \n
- Support and review the work of junior team members involved in the portfolio. \n
- Act as a technical point of reference for personal tax queries within the firm. \n
- \n
- ATT, ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent qualification (or qualified by experience with strong personal tax expertise). \n
- Proven experience managing a personal tax portfolio within a practice environment. \n
- Strong technical grounding in personal tax compliance; exposure to trusts, planning or Corporation Tax is a plus. \n
- Confident, personable communicator who builds client trust easily. \n
- Background in accountancy practice (rather than industry/in-house) preferred. \n
