Chemical Process Operator - Aerospace
Job Description
We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious and detail-oriented Chemical Process Operator to join our manufacturing team within the aerospace sector.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in chemical processing, manufacturing or a similar regulated environment who takes pride in producing high-quality work and following established procedures.
\nAs a Chemical Process Operator, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of chemical processing operations on aerospace components, ensuring that all work is completed safely, accurately and in accordance with company procedures, quality standards and health & safety requirements.
The Role\nYour key responsibilities will include:

- Carrying out chemical processing operations in accordance with detailed written work instructions. \n
- Preparing, monitoring and maintaining chemical solutions and process tanks. \n
- Safely loading and unloading components throughout the processing stages. \n
- Carrying out routine temperature and chemical concentration checks. \n
- Inspecting processed components to ensure quality and conformity to specification. \n
- Accurately completing production and process documentation. \n
- Entering and updating production information using Microsoft Excel. \n
- Using Windows-based systems to access electronic work instructions and company information. \n
- Following COSHH requirements, risk assessments and safe working procedures at all times. \n
- Wearing, maintaining and correctly using the required personal protective equipment (PPE). \n
- Reporting process issues, defects, quality concerns or safety hazards promptly. \n
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment. \n
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production, quality and delivery requirements. \n
- Undertaking relevant training to develop your skills and knowledge. \n
- Supporting overtime requirements when necessary. \n
We are looking for someone who is:

- Experienced in chemical processing or manufacturing — aerospace experience would be advantageous. \n
- Safety-conscious and committed to maintaining high standards of workplace safety. \n
- Comfortable working with chemicals and following COSHH and risk-control procedures. \n
- Able to follow detailed written instructions accurately and consistently. \n
- Highly attentive to detail, particularly when recording process information and checking components. \n
- Confident using a computer, including Microsoft Excel and Windows. \n
- Able to accurately enter, update and save production information. \n
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team. \n
- Willing to learn and undertake additional training where required. \n
- Flexible and willing to work overtime when required. \n
