Machine Minder - Nightshift
Job Description
Working Hours - Nightshift Monday - Thursday 10pm - 7am. 36 hours per week

At our Batley site, we’re looking for a Machine Minder to safely operate processing equipment in an efficient manner, quality check goods and comply with Food Safety, Health & Safety, quality and hygiene requirements. \nYour Role in Creating Quality Bakes

- Complete prestart checks in line with Health & Safety standards, Food hygiene and quality standards \n
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the equipment \n
- Complete specification and quality checks as and when required \n
- Start up and shut down the line in accordance with procedures \n
- Conduct a thorough handover and takeover during each shift. \n
- Fault diagnosis and problem solving with machines. \n
- Conduct line cleaning to required specifications. \n
Your Key Ingredients

- Previous experience operating machinery and a basic understanding of mechanical processes \n
- Strong communication and numeracy skills – able to understand instructions, follow safety procedures, and complete simple calculations to support smooth operations. \n
- High attention to detail – skilled at monitoring processes, spotting inconsistencies, and accurately recording checks and documentation. \n
- Hygiene and safety focused with a practical approach to machinery – committed to maintaining a clean, safe workplace, with basic machine operation awareness (full training provided). \n
