The CompanyOur client is a well-established manufacturing business operating within the industrial production sector. With a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement, they are looking to add a skilled Maintenance Engineer to their engineering team at their Romford facility.

The Role

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing operation. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving production equipment to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency.

\n

Please note: Applicants must have previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment and possess both mechanical and electrical maintenance skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across manufacturing machinery and equipment.
  • \n
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults promptly to minimise downtime.
  • \n
  • Complete reactive maintenance and breakdown repairs.
  • \n
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
  • \n
  • Assist with the installation, commissioning and modification of production equipment.
  • \n
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in line with company procedures.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • \n
  • Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment performance.
  • \n

Requirements

\n
    \n
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • \n
  • Strong mechanical maintenance experience, including pumps, motors, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors and associated machinery.
  • \n
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance skills.
  • \n
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • \n
  • Experience working on automated production equipment.
  • \n
  • Engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND, or equivalent.
  • \n

Experience within industrial, chemical, FMCG or manufacturing environments.
