CNC Miller / VMC Setter – FanucWolverhamptonPermanent | Monday to Friday | Day ShiftsSalary dependant on experienceAre you an experienced CNC Miller or VMC Setter looking for a permanent days-based role with an established UK manufacturer?This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the hands-on side of CNC machining and wants a role where you'll be trusted to take ownership of your own set-ups.Working within a busy manufacturing environment, you'll be responsible for setting VMCs for predominantly small-batch production, producing first-offs and making the necessary adjustments to ensure components are machined accurately and efficiently.This is mainly a setting role rather than programming from scratch, with the opportunity to develop your experience further across 5-axis machining.What you'll be doing\n

• Setting VMCs ready for small-batch production runs
\n
• Setting tooling, fixtures, workholding and offsets for each job
\n
• Loading existing CNC programs and making adjustments where needed
\n
• Producing first-offs, checking your work and making sure everything is right before production
\n
• Working from engineering drawings and using verniers, micrometres and gauges to check components
\n
• Keeping jobs running smoothly, monitoring quality and dealing with tooling or machining issues as they arise
\n

What we're looking for\n

\n
• Hands-on experience setting CNC milling machines / VMCs
\n
• You'll need to be confident using Fanuc controls
\n
• Experience working with 3, 4 or 5-axis machining centres
\n
• Comfortable setting your own tooling, workholding and offsets
\n
• Able to confidently read engineering drawings and produce accurate first-offs
\n
• A good practical understanding of machining, tooling and tolerances, with an eye for quality
\n
