Complex Needs Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated Complex Needs Support Worker to provide specialised care for children with complex care needs. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of experience in complex care within the UK, including specific experience in PEG feeding and moving and handling techniques. Please note, we do not provide sponsorships for this position.

Day-to-day of the role:

\n
• Provide direct care and support to children with complex needs, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
\n
• Perform PEG feeding and manage all aspects related to it, including hygiene and equipment maintenance.
\n
• Assist with moving and handling of children to support their mobility and engagement in activities.
\n
• Monitor the health condition of children and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals.
\n
• Engage with children in activities that support their development and well-being.
\n
• Maintain clear and accurate records of care provided.
\n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role within the UK.
\n
• Proven experience in complex care settings for children.
\n
• Specific experience in PEG feeding and moving and handling.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with children.
\n
• A compassionate and patient approach to care.
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
\n
• An up-to-date DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service is required. Support is available for new DBS applications.
\n
• Right to work in the UK.
\n
