Procurement/Purchasing Assistant, Central London
\nAn exciting Procurement/Purchasing Assistant role with a salary of £28,000 to £35,000 plus bonus and career progression opportunities for a role based in our Marylebone, London office. Ideal for candidates who have started their CIPS journey.
\nWe are offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Procurement/Purchasing Assistant with an immediate start at a market leading, dynamic and renowned property, technology and innovative, technology-based car parking company. Euro Car Parks is a market leading, renowned UK business, established over 50 years ago. The company operates over 3500 sites across the UK and Ireland providing specialist services to a wide range of blue-chip clients.
\nThe role
\nWe are looking for someone with previous experience in procurement and purchasing, who takes pride in their work and wants to learn and develop within the role
\nMain Responsibilities
\nWorking closely with the Purchasing Manager across the procurement function
\nAssisting with the day to day procurement process and activity, ensuring optimal supplier performance
\nBeing part of the end to end procurement processes including, document preparation, negotiations, contract awarding and supplier management
\nEnsuring purchasing activities reflect diverse requirements and overall business goals, as well as complying with all regulatory standards
\nDeveloping strong relationships with key suppliers and managing ongoing contractual relationships
\nRegularly reviewing long term agreements with existing suppliers
\nMonitoring and improving supplier performance (delivery, price and quality)
\nNegotiating and agreeing contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided
\nProviding continuous business and market analysis and bench marking
\nIdentifying new suppliers, agreeing terms and negotiating supply agreements where appropriate
\nDevising and implementing action plans to reduces costs and improving service delivery time
\nReviewing and enhancing ongoing processes and systems and developing new strategies where necessary
\nHandling responsibility for the complete stock management, stock control and stock disposal
\nDocumenting physical supply chain processes such as workflows
\nMonitoring all lead times and delivery costs
\nProducing statistical reports and analysis on spending and cost saving
\nSkills:
\nHas previous proven excellent negotiation and skills
\nHave proven experience in a buying/supply chain role
\nBe a strong negotiator to lead commercial and contractual negotiations with potential and existing suppliers on behalf of the business.
\nBe a confident and clear communicator who can effectively liaise with stakeholders of all levels from a variety of teams across the business.
\nBe an energetic, fast learner who is willing to take a hands-on approach. As well as being flexible and highly motivated.
\nBe a strategic and innovative thinker with ability to drive initiatives
\nHave the ability to manage multiple, complex and ambiguous tasks simultaneously
\nHave decisiveness, follow-through, initiative, motivation, and a sense of urgency
\nAbility to working under pressure alone and with others whilst meeting deadlines
\nSelf-motivated, driven and proactive in identifying and improving systems and procedures
\nIT literate numerate and able to communicate effectively at all levels.
