Blue Arrow are actively seeking Production Operatives / General Assistants to join a successful and vibrant team based in Renfrew. As a General Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring catering products and goods are prepared, handled and distributed to airline customers in line with strict scheduling requirements.

Key Information

\n

\n
• Pay Rate: 13.20 Per Hour (17.82 for overtime)
\n
• Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week, 8 hour shifts between 05.00 to 23.00 Monday to Sunday. You need to be fully flexible between the shift times and days.
\n
• Contract: Temp with potential to go Perm
\n
• Location: Renfrew, PA3
\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

As a General Assistant, you will be working in one of the following areas within the business:

\n

Production

\n

\n
• Preparing and plating food
\n
• Handling packed food goods
\n
• Packing amenity kits and flight condiments
\n

\n

Equipment

\n

\n
• Stacking shelves
\n
• Rotation of stock
\n
• Reordering dry stock
\n

\n

Wash

\n

\n
• General cleaning
\n
• Waste removal
\n
• Washing airline equipment to industry standards
\n

\n

Search and Seal

\n

\n
• Inspecting goods to ensure there are no prohibited items
\n
• Checking stock for any damage
\n
• Completing relevant paperwork
\n

\n

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

\n

To be successful in this role, you must:

\n

\n
• Be able to handle pork and alcohol products
\n
• Be prepared to stand for long periods of time and have good mobility
\n
• Be comfortable working in a chilled environment
\n
• Have a good level of English
\n

\n

\n

Screening Requirements

\n

Due to working in the Aviation Sector, If you are successful, we will need to carry out the following:

Basic DBS Check (Criminal Record Check - No cost, Blue Arrow will cover this)

5 Year Employment History Check including references

\n

International Check (If you have worked outside of the UK in the last 5 years)
