Sigma is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunities employer. our business.Outline of roleWe are seeking an experienced Qualifying Supervisor to support the delivery, testing, commissioning and close-out of electrical installations across multiple projects. Acting as the key point of contact for electrical compliance, testing and defect management, you will work closely with Project Managers, contractors and site teams to ensure works are completed safely, to the highest quality standards, and in accordance with current NICEIC and BS7671 requirements.Main responsibilitiesAct as the lead contact for electrical testing and compliance across live projects and those within the defects liability period.Oversee the completion of electrical testing, commissioning, certification and project handovers.Manage and maintain electrical testing, calibration and PAT testing records and trackers.Monitor project progress and ensure test certificates are issued within required timescales.Carry out regular site visits to assess installation quality, testing programmes and commissioning activities.Support Project Managers with quality assurance inspections and compliance requirements.Manage and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers undertaking testing, maintenance and defect rectification works.Ensure all defect works are completed safely and are supported by approved risk assessments and method statements.Maintain weekly defect tracking schedules and provide regular progress updates to management teams.Attend meetings with project teams, contractors and clients to resolve issues and support successful project delivery.Promote compliance with company Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and Environmental policies.Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, customers and external stakeholders.Knowledge and experience requiredPrevious experience in a Qualifying Supervisor, Approved Electrician, Testing & Inspection or similar electrical compliance role.Strong understanding of electrical installation, testing, commissioning and defect management processes.Experience working on commercial construction or building services projects.Knowledge of NICEIC requirements and current electrical regulations.Experience managing multiple projects and working with subcontractors and site teams.Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.Experience maintaining project documentation, trackers and compliance records.Skills requiredExcellent communication and relationship-building skills.Strong organisational and project management abilities.Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.Professional, proactive and customer-focused approach.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.Able to prioritise workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Qualifications18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671)City & Guilds 2394 & 2395 / 2391 Testing & InspectionNVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation, City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & 2, or equivalentECS/CSCS Gold CardBenefits:25 days holiday plus bank holidaysA days birthday leave to be taken within your birthday monthOpportunity to buy or sell up to 3 days holiday*Opportunity for hybrid working*Ability to participate in the Octopus EV salary sacrifice scheme*Ability to participate in the Cycle to Work Scheme*Employee Assistance ProgrammeHealthshield cash plan with discounts on high street storesFree external financial advice offering support for mortgages, pensions and insurancesEnhanced family friendly pay*Free tea, coffee and fruit on all sites*Subject to eligibilityOpportunity to be involved withGroup Colleague BoardQuarterly Corporate Events/Charity InvolvementSigma is committed to providing colleagues with opportunities to progress their career, supported by a range of training and development activities and interventionsIf you think youve got what it takes to join our growing, winning team wed love you to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
