South Hampshire College Group is looking to recruit Bank Invigilators to support the delivery of examinations throughout the academic year.This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible work and who can help ensure examinations are conducted fairly, securely, and in accordance with examination regulations.No previous invigilation experience is required, as full training will be provided.DutiesAs a Bank Invigilator, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and security of the examination process. Working in line with Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), awarding body, and College regulations, you will:Arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of examinations and remain until all examination materials have been reconciled.Prepare examination rooms and ensure candidates are seated correctly.Conduct examinations in accordance with JCQ, awarding body, and College regulations.Maintain a calm, professional, and supportive environment for candidates.Monitor candidates throughout examinations and remain vigilant to prevent breaches of regulations.Ensure the security of examination papers and materials before, during, and after examinations.Report any incidents of misconduct, malpractice, or irregularities.Safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of candidates during examinations.Attend mandatory training and annual refresher sessions as required.Support examinations across South Hampshire College Group campuses as required.Ideal AttributesWe welcome applications from individuals who:Are reliable, flexible, and available during peak examination periods, including occasional evenings.Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Are confident in managing groups of people and giving clear instructions.Can remain calm and professional in a formal examination environment.Work effectively as part of a team.Have basic IT skills, including the use of email and mobile messaging.Have strong attention to detail and a commitment to following procedures.Previous experience as an invigilator is desirable but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.About UsSouth Hampshire College Group (SHCG) is a dynamic, purpose driven Further Education organisation with a commitment to Creating Better Futures for learners, employers and communities within South Hampshire and beyond.We pride ourselves on living our values - Collaborative, Inclusive and Aspirational.
