- Managing a varied caseload of criminal defence matters. \n
- Representing clients at Police Stations and Magistrates' Courts. \n
- Participating in the out-of-hours Police Station rota. \n
- Conducting your own advocacy wherever appropriate. \n
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional contacts. \n
- Undertaking networking and business development activities to generate new work and strengthen your local profile. \n
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider criminal team to deliver the highest standards of client care. \n

- A minimum of 3 years' PQE in Criminal Law. \n
- Duty Solicitor accreditation, or a genuine willingness to obtain accreditation if not already qualified. \n
- The ability to manage a busy caseload independently and work with a high degree of autonomy. \n
- Strong advocacy skills and confidence conducting your own hearings. \n
- Excellent technical knowledge and procedural expertise. \n
- A commitment to exceptional client care. \n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. \n
- A proactive, flexible and commercially minded approach to practice development. \n
