Join an established law firm as a Legal Audio Typist, providing dedicated typing support to fee earners during a period of increased workload. This role is ideal for someone with excellent dictation skills and a focus on producing accurate, well-presented legal correspondence and documents from digital dictation.

Day-to-day of the role:

\n
• Audio typing legal correspondence, documents, forms, and file notes from digital dictation.
\n
• Producing high-quality legal documentation accurately and efficiently.
\n
• Reviewing dictated content and making appropriate amendments where required.
\n
• Proofreading documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and professional presentation.
\n
• Formatting legal documents and correspondence to house standards.
\n
• Managing transcription workloads within agreed timescales.
\n
• Supporting fee earners by ensuring documentation is prepared promptly and accurately.
\n
• Maintaining strict confidentiality when handling client information.
\n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n
• Previous experience as a Legal Audio Typist.
\n
• Fast and accurate audio typing skills.
\n
• Excellent attention to detail.
\n
• Strong grammar, spelling, and proofreading abilities.
\n
• Ability to review and refine dictated content where necessary.
\n
• Experience producing professional legal documentation.
\n
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word.
\n
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
\n
• Desirable:\n
  \n
  • Experience within Conveyancing and/or Private Client law.
  \n
  • Previous experience working within a legal practice.
  \n
  • Familiarity with digital dictation systems.
  \n
