Job Description
We're working with a well-established accountancy practice looking to appoint an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys a predominantly accounts-focused role while maintaining exposure to audit, tax, and client management.
\nYou'll be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients, building strong client relationships, and delivering a high-quality service across a varied client base.
The Role\nThe role will be split approximately as follows:

- Prepare statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of limited companies, with responsibility for reviewing work where appropriate. \n
- Plan, manage, and run smaller audit assignments from start to finish. \n
- Prepare and submit corporation tax returns for all limited company accounts prepared. \n
- Independently prepare, review, and submit approximately 70 personal tax returns each year, ensuring compliance with HMRC deadlines. \n
- Review VAT returns and MTD submissions, with occasional hands-on preparation and submission where required. \n
We're looking for someone who:

- Has at least 5 years of solid post-qualified experience within a UK accountancy practice. \n
- Is confident preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, and personal tax returns. \n
- Has experience managing audit assignments from planning through to completion. \n
- Is comfortable reviewing VAT returns and MTD submissions. \n
- Can manage a portfolio of clients independently. \n
- Is confident communicating with clients over the phone and via email, providing excellent client service. \n
- Is organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple deadlines effectively. \n

- Salary of £50,000 - £55,000, with flexibility for an exceptional candidate. \n
