Job Description We are seeking a Field Technical Support Consultant II to provide customer-facing, onsite break/fix support for HP PC and printer technologies. The role focuses on hardware support for laptops, desktops, RPOS, and workstations. Printer support experience is preferred. The environment is fast paced and requires a positive approach, resilience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering quality service. Responsibilities: Perform onsite break/fix services for HP PC and printer equipment, including configuration, installation, and unit repair. Troubleshoot hardware issues and assist with basic software, network, and switch-related problems. Execute technical action plans and collaborate with escalation personnel to resolve PC and printer incidents. Educate customers on technology use and maintenance while managing expectations and service outcomes. Prioritize and balance multiple service tickets in alignment with contractual commitments and customer needs. Document work performed, parts used, and administrative details with accuracy and attention to detail. Required Skills & Qualifications: Technical and mechanical hardware repair experience for PCs and printers. Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with tools and alignment apparatus. Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues methodically, including basic third-party software and network elements. Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in customer settings. Strong prioritization, planning, and independent work capabilities within standard procedures. Understanding of financial impacts related to service delivery and parts usage. Physical ability to bend, crawl, stoop, sit, and lift up to 50 pounds. Availability for scheduled and unscheduled overtime, holidays, and non-traditional shifts. High school diploma or equivalent with additional hardware technology training. College preferred. Preferred Skills: Hands-on experience with printers and multi-vendor peripherals. Customer-facing field service experience with incident escalation and action planning. Why BCforward?
