\nAnimal Clinic East is excited to welcome an experienced Pet Groomer to our growing veterinary support team. We are a full-service practice providing comprehensive medical care alongside professional grooming services, and we take pride in serving pets and their families in our community.
\nOur hospital features a dedicated, state-of-the-art grooming facility where groomers have the autonomy to manage their services, build relationships with clients, and work alongside a supportive veterinary team.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated groomer who enjoys working independently while being part of a collaborative hospital environment.
\nQualifications
\n- \n
- Professional pet grooming experience working with a variety of dog breeds and coat types \n
- Knowledge of breed-specific grooming standards \n
- Ability to safely handle pets of varying sizes and temperaments \n
- Strong customer service and communication skills \n
- Grooming certification is a plus \n
- Portfolio and references required \n
Key Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Perform full grooming services including bathing, drying, haircuts/styling, brush-outs, nail trims, de-matting, ear cleaning, and gland expression \n
- Evaluate each pet’s coat and skin condition and communicate grooming recommendations to pet owners \n
- Engage with clients to understand grooming preferences and expectations \n
- Safely handle pets of various sizes and temperaments during grooming procedures \n
- Maintain a clean, organized grooming area throughout the day and at the end of each shift \n
Schedule and compensation:

- Compensation for this role is based on 50% commission on grooming services, or $17.13 per hour worked, whichever is greater plus tips. \n
- This is a flexible position with a flexible schedule and general availability needed Monday- Friday. \n

Our eight-doctor team primarily sees small animals and pocket pets; however, we also treat avian and wildlife patients on occasion.
