Quality Inspector
Job Description
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Quality Inspectors for projects located in or around Green Bay, WI. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $28-$35/hour based on experience plus $100/per diem to Travelers 60+ miles from the Jobsite. \nJob Scope:
\n- \n
- Perform a variety of parts and product inspections to meet company and customer requirements \n
- Inspect incoming and subcontracted parts \n
- Document inspection results through written reports and photographs \n
- Gather data and create reports for customers \n
- Communicate quality discrepancies to shop supervisors \n
- Maintain material certifications and inspection documentation \n
- Maintain calibration control for all IMTE inventory \n
- Perform inspections to ISO standards \n
- Notify management when CWI involvement is needed \n
- Use basic measurement tools including combination squares, protractors, calipers, and other inspection equipment \n
- Assist with subcontracted processing, purchase order requests, tagging, and part counts \n
- Label nonconforming parts \n
- Read blueprints to ensure fabricated products meet specifications \n
- Maintain calibration control for all inventory \n
- Follow all safety procedures \n
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor \n
Requirements:
\n- \n
- Associate Degree in Quality Control Technology from an accredited college or 3 years of proven inspection experience in lieu of a degree \n
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an inspector in a close-tolerance custom metal manufacturing environment preferred \n
- Experience in a metal forming, machining, and/or welding environment preferred \n
- Demonstrated competency in blueprint reading and the use of precision measurement equipment \n
- General machining and welding knowledge is a plus \n
- Knowledge of metals, raw materials, production processes, quality control, and manufacturing costs is a plus \n
- CWI certification is a plus \n
