Experienced Electrician – Traveling

Cummings Electrical is hiring experienced electricians with 3+ years of commercial/industrial experience for our Traveling Tradesman Electrician position. This position is designed for electricians who have not yet obtained their journeyman license and are continuing to work toward that next step in their career.

We are looking for candidates with 3–4+ years of experience. Candidates with 2 years may be considered if their experience and skill level are comparable to a 3rd-year electrician.

Responsibilities:

\n
• Read in-depth blueprints (mechanical, layout/on-line drawings)
\n
• Determine size of pull box or J-box based on wires inside or passing through
\n
• Size wire based on amperage and voltage drop.
\n
• Troubleshoot electrical systems (equipment, devices, conduit wires)
\n
• Bend and install 3” or greater conduit
\n
• Terminate inside of Transformers, Switchgears, Generators and UP’s, Lighting control panel and Control Panels
\n

Qualifications:

• Active TDLR Apprentice License is required
\n
• Minimum 3 years Apprentice Electrician commercial/industrial experience
\n
• Reliable transportation
\n
• Skilled in a construction environment
\n
