Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Import Coordinator with strong ocean import, air import, freight forwarding, and customs documentation experience who enjoys managing international shipments from origin through final U.S. delivery.
The Import Coordinator will join a fast-paced import/export and wholesale trade environment where accuracy, communication, and follow-through are essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating ocean and air import shipments from foreign origin points to final U.S. destinations.
- Receiving, reviewing, and processing import documentation, including bills of lading, arrival notices, delivery orders, in-bond documents, freight releases, and customs-related documents.
- Tracking and tracing FCL and LCL cargo shipments and providing timely updates to customers, carriers, brokers, overseas offices, and trucking partners.
- Coordinating inland transportation, delivery schedules, and door deliveries while resolving shipment issues to support on-time performance.
- Maintaining accurate shipment files, updating internal systems and industry websites, and ensuring import records comply with domestic and foreign regulations.
- Processing vendor invoices and payables on time to support month-end deadlines and overall department accuracy.
- Pay Range: $23 to $25 per hour DOE.
- Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Location: Carson, CA.
