\nJoin a West Texas crew working on large power delivery and data center projects in Childress, TX. This hands-on role focuses on installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining medium- and high-voltage substation equipment with a strict emphasis on OSHA-driven safety practices. You'll work outdoors on the Childress Data Center and regional power projects, assist with energization and commissioning, and perform preventative maintenance. Ideal for experienced substation technicians who read schematics, perform MV/HV cable work, and take pride in quality, safe work.\n

What You'll Do\n
\n

\n
• Install, maintain, test and repair substation equipment: transformers, breakers, relays, capacitor banks and regulators
\n
• Perform MV/HV cable terminations, splices, fault-finding and grounding system installation
\n
• Read and interpret one-lines, schematics, blueprints and wiring diagrams to complete installations and repairs
\n
• Support energization, commissioning, startup activities and on-site equipment testing
\n
• Conduct inspections, preventative maintenance and document quality checks while enforcing safety procedures
\n
• Work outdoors at heights and in variable West Texas conditions following OSHA safety standards
\n

What We're Looking For\n
\n

\n
• Proven substation, utility or industrial high-voltage electrical experience
\n
• Hands-on experience with MV/HV cable work: terminations, splices and troubleshooting
\n
• Ability to read electrical drawings, one-lines and wiring diagrams
\n
• Electrical testing, troubleshooting and commissioning experience with substation equipment
\n
• Strong commitment to jobsite safety and ability to follow OSHA-driven procedures
\n
• Capable of working outdoors, at heights, in varied weather and lifting/handling heavy equipment
\n

Qualifications\n
\n

• OSHA 10 (required)
\n
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
\n
• High school diploma or GED (required)
\n
• Ability to pass drug screen and background check
\n
• Previous substation or high-voltage certifications and NFPA 70E or electrical safety training preferred
\n
• Journeyman status or equivalent experience a plus
\n
