This engaging onsite role is located near Waterbury, CT, with positions available at both a high school and an elementary/middle school. Key Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut School Psychologist license required
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
- Prior experience working in school-based settings is strongly preferred
- Skilled in educational testing, counseling, and supporting IEP/504 plan development
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering positive student outcomes and supporting diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and educational assessments
- Participate in Eligibility, IEP, and multi-disciplinary team meetings
- Provide individual and group counseling as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student needs
- Interpret assessment results to inform intervention plans and accommodations
- Deliver crisis intervention and behavioral consultation when appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state standards
