Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner, you will join the CHI St. Vincent Gastroenterology Clinic in Little Rock, playing a pivotal role in providing comprehensive, high-quality care to our community. You will be an employed member of the CHI St. Vincent Medical Group, working alongside a supportive team of physicians, nurses, and administrative staff.

Every day you will provide care to all age groups in accordance with the State of Arkansas Department of Licensing and your professional scope of practice. You will provide diagnostic and therapeutic medical services, while making reasonable and sound medical assessments and treatment plans for patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders, including inflammatory bowel disease, GERD, liver disease, and pancreatic conditions. You will also manage acute and chronic GI conditions, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal digestive health.

To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled and compassionate Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner with strong clinical skills, a commitment to high-quality comprehensive care, and the ability to work effectively in a diverse environment. In your role, you will:

  • Function within the scope of practice as defined by state regulations and your collaborative agreement with the supervising physician.
  • \n
  • Conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • \n
  • Perform medication management, patient education, and counseling on lifestyle modifications.
  • \n
  • Adhere to patient confidentiality, infection prevention, safety and security measures, and all hospital policies and procedures.
  • \n
  • Model St. Vincent core values while working collaboratively with gastroenterologists, primary care providers, and specialists.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records while empowering patients to actively participate in their treatment plans.

Job Requirements\n

Required:

  • Board-Eligible/Board-Certified
  • \n
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Arkansas
  • \n
\n

Perferred:

    \n
  • Previous GI experience as an RN or advanced provider is strongly preferred.
