About This Role\n

\nWe are looking for a hands-on Journeyman Electrician in Abilene, TX to lay out, install, test, and repair electrical systems on commercial and industrial jobs. You'll read drawings, bend and install conduit, pull wire, make terminations, start up systems, and troubleshoot both high and low voltage equipment to ensure safe, code-compliant installations. This is field work on active construction sites and industrial facilities. Expect to work at heights, in confined areas, and outdoors in all weather. If you have a Texas Journeyman license, solid conduit and medium-voltage experience, and a focus on safety and quality, this is a good role for you.\n

What You'll Do\n
\n
    \n
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project drawings to plan work and layout conduit/raceways
  • \n
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit, pull cable, install wireways and duct banks
  • \n
  • Install, wire, test and start up control panels, motors, lighting, overcurrent devices and distribution equipment
  • \n
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults on high- and low-voltage systems; test for continuity, insulation and proper operation
  • \n
  • Inspect and verify subordinate work for compliance with plans, codes and safety standards; correct deficiencies
  • \n
  • Operate hand, power and hydraulic tools; work from ladders, scaffolds and aerial lifts; follow lockout/tagout and safety procedures

What We're Looking For\n
\n
    \n
  • State-licensed Journeyman Electrician (TX) with proven field experience
  • \n
  • Hands-on experience with conduit bending, raceway installation, pulling wire and making terminations
  • \n
  • Experience on high-, medium- and low-voltage systems and installing/testing overcurrent and standby/emergency systems
  • \n
  • Ability to read technical drawings, coordinate permits/inspections, and follow electrical codes
  • \n
  • Fit for duty: able to work at heights, lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces and pass pre-access drug/alcohol testing
  • \n
  • Strong verbal and written communication to coordinate with supervisors, inspectors and team members
  • \n

  • State Licensed Electrician (Journeyman) - required
  • \n
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • \n
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; clean driving record preferred
  • \n
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card preferred
  • \n
  • CPR/First Aid and MEWP/manlift certification preferred
  • \n
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and fit-for-duty medical
  • \n
