About This Role\n

\nWork on high-voltage substation projects (35 kV and above) across West Texas. This role hires helpers, apprentices, and journeyman electricians to perform installation, terminations, cable pulling, grounding and other hands-on electrical tasks on energized and de-energized equipment. Travel between project sites is required. Pay is $36-$42/hour depending on level, plus $830/week per diem for eligible workers. If you have substation experience and follow safety procedures around high voltage, this is steady, well-paid field work with frequent travel assignments.\n

What You'll Do\n
\n
    \n
  • Install medium- and high-voltage equipment and components at substation sites (35 kV+)
  • \n
  • Perform cable pulling, terminations, splicing and secure connections on power cables and bus work
  • \n
  • Install grounding systems, bond equipment and verify continuity of protective systems
  • \n
  • Read and follow electrical drawings, schematics and work orders on site
  • \n
  • Load, unload and rig material and equipment; assist with site setup and breakdown at each project location
  • \n
  • Work safely around energized systems, follow lockout/tagout and other safety procedures while coordinating with crew and supervisors
  • \n

What We're Looking For\n
\n
    \n
  • Hands-on experience on substation work at 35 kV or higher (helpers/apprentices acceptable with some related experience)
  • \n
  • Able to perform cable pulling, terminations, grounding and general electrical installation
  • \n
  • Comfortable working around energized high-voltage systems and following strict safety procedures
  • \n
  • Able to read technical drawings, wireway and raceway layouts, and follow instructions on site
  • \n
  • Willingness to travel across West Texas and work at remote project sites; able to be on multi-day assignments
  • \n

Qualifications\n
\n
    \n
  • Valid driver's license and reliable means to travel to project pickup points
  • \n
  • Journeyman electrician license (for Journeyman openings) or active enrollment in an electrical apprenticeship (for Apprentice openings)
  • \n
  • Experience on 35 kV+ systems and proven record of safe work practices
  • \n
  • NFPA 70E and OSHA 10/30 preferred; CPR/First Aid preferred
  • \n
