Spare Hands - Counce Mill
\nSpare Hands are general laborers that are assigned to all areas of the Mill, Paper Machine, Woodyard, Pulping, Caustic, Power, Recycle, Shipping, or Yard Services as needed.
\n
\n Basic Qualifications:
At least 18 years of age.
\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.
\n24 months’ full-time work experience with 12 months industrial experience in the last 36 months.
\nAbility to work 8-hour rotating day/night shifts and overtime.
\nGood communication skills.
\nStrong safety, attendance and teamwork background.
\nAbility to perform basic physical tasks (pushing, bending, twisting and repetitive motions).
\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
\nMust be authorized to work in the United States.
\nThe successful candidate must possess the following Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
\nMust be willing to work closely on a day-to-day basis with other production personnel.
\nAbility to share ideas with others to solve problems of essential importance.
\nWork with a sense of urgency.
\nStrong computer skills.
\nTests and Board Interview:
\nThose selected to go through the PCA hiring process will be asked to take a series of five written tests and take part in a structured board interview.
\nThe five written tests are all timed and involve:
\nBasic mechanical principles
\nBasic arithmetic skills
\nThe ability to visualize three-dimensional figures
\nThe ability to compare numbers or patterns quickly and accurately
\nBasic verbal ability
\nThe interview will be conducted by a four-person board and involves a review of each candidates:
\nWork history
\nAchievements and accomplishments
\nKnowledge and skill acquisition
\nInterpersonal skills and helpfulness
\nTask related likes and dislikes
\nPhysical demands experienced on previous jobs

- Starting salary for position: $29.46 per hour. \n

- Paid Holidays. \n
- Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision – and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages. \n
- Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions. \n
