Job Description

High Performance Polymer are a South Oxfordshire-based e-commerce company specialising in polymer components within a range of engineering industries. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a highly organised and proactive Accounts Assistant to support our internal operations and work closely with our accountants.

This is a part‑time, office‑based role with contracted hours between 15hrs and 20hrs per week (Flexible).

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Maintain and update company forecasting and cash flow information.
  • \n
  • Prepare and issue monthly client invoices.
  • \n
  • Process monthly payroll information for external accountants.
  • \n
  • Manage employee and company expenses.
  • \n
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations within QuickBooks.
  • \n
  • Monitor aged receivables and chase outstanding payments.
  • \n
  • Arrange supplier payments and maintain accurate financial records.
  • \n
  • Provide light‑touch cashflow review and report key updates to Directors.
  • \n
  • Support general finance administration as required.
  • \n

We’re looking for someone who brings both technical competence and a confident, communicative approach.

Essential Skills & Experience

\n
    \n
  • Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping principles.
  • \n
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Office 365.
  • \n
  • Confident handling bank reconciliations, aged receivables and payables.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • \n
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • \n
  • Strong problem‑solving and query‑resolution skills.
  • \n
  • A team player with a positive work ethic.
  • \n
  • AAT Level 2 qualification.
  • \n

  • AAT Level 3/4 (or equivalent) bookkeeping qualification
  • \n

Pay:

£28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
