Project Support Officer
Job Description
ASA Recruitment’s client, a Public Sector organisation in Edinburgh/Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Project Support Officer on an initial 3-month contract (with potential extensions) on a rate of c.£236.50/day inside of IR35 (based on experience). This role will be mostly remote with the occasional day onsite. This role is with an NHS Organisation. Please note that applicants must be based in Scotland due to the occasional onsite requirements.
\nThe Role:
\nThe post holder will manage the day-to-day running of the programme office for a number of projects and programmes by providing high level project support and assisting in the delivery of advice and guidance on appropriate management methodologies. The Project Support Officer will be responsible for providing a full range of project support services to Programme Management Services, assisting in the organisation and administration of all aspects of Projects, Programmes and Business As Usual.

- Maintenance of project issues/ risk logs \n
- Support for project exceptions \n
- Support for mid and end stage reviews \n
- Post implementation review \n
- Provision of management information \n
- Budget Tracking \n
Essential Experience:
\n- \n
- Degree in Office Administration or related subject or equivalent experience gained over years in a busy office environment. \n
- In-depth working knowledge of standard office software packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project. \n
- Knowledge of effective Project Management/trained in PRINCE 2 methodology. \n
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a well-developed organisational ability. \n
- Experience in the delivery of training and confident in contributing to/with senior colleagues and stakeholders \n
- Minute taking skills. \n
- An understanding of NHS Scotland and a project management background would be advantageous. \n
- To have the ability to learn and gain knowledge of technical phrases to enable an increased efficiency and understanding in their role. \n
- Commitment to updating skills and life-long learning. \n
