\nVicuna Design Studio is a Boutique London-based interior design practice focused on creating functional, aesthetically refined spaces for residential and commercial clients. The studio combines creative design with practical space planning and technical expertise to deliver high-quality, tailored solutions. Projects range from full renovations to targeted redesigns, with an emphasis on detail, materials, and client collaboration. Team members work closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to bring design concepts to life efficiently and professionally.
\nRole Description This is a full-time, Interior Designer role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The Interior Designer will develop design concepts, prepare presentations, and produce detailed drawings and specifications for residential and/or commercial projects. Day-to-day tasks include space planning, selecting finishes and furnishings, coordinating FF&E packages, and preparing construction drawings in collaboration with architects and contractors. The role involves attending site visits, surveys, and client meetings, managing design revisions, and ensuring that design intent is maintained throughout the project. The Interior Designer will also support project management activities, including timelines, budgets, and coordination with suppliers and external partners.

- Experience working in a London Design Studio is essential \n
- Proficiency in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to translate client requirements into functional, cohesive layouts. \n
- Knowledge of Architecture principles and experience collaborating with architectural and construction teams. \n
- Strong skills in preparing Construction Drawings and technical documentation for implementation on site. \n
- Supplier knowledge and existing relationships preferred \n
- Experience in FF&E selection, specification, and coordination, including finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment. \n
- Relevant qualification in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. \n
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar), and presentation tools. \n
- Strong visual, creative, and conceptual design skills, with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. \n
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with clients, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams. \n
- Experience with UK building regulations, construction processes, and on-site coordination is an advantage. \n

- This will be a initial 6 month contract role with the opportunity to become permanent \n
- This will be a mainly office role with the opportunity to have 1-2 days working from home \n
- You will be required to travel to site when required Most sites are in London but some can be outer London cities. \n
- You will be able to work to deadlines and with a daily changing work dynamic when needed as the nature of a boutique studio. \n
- You will be given responsibilities to be hands on and take initiative when required. \n
