\nYou Will Work With

- Leading and mentoring a small team of Azure Data Engineers \n
- Designing, building and supporting Azure Data Pipelines and Logic Apps \n
- Developing and maintaining solutions within Azure Synapse and Microsoft Fabric \n
- Creating, optimising and maintaining complex SQL stored procedures, views and user-defined functions \n
- Expanding and enhancing the existing data warehouse with new data sources and datasets \n
- Ensuring coding, deployment and engineering best practices are maintained across the team \n
- Managing deployments and coordinating engineering activity \n
- Troubleshooting data issues and resolving data inconsistencies \n
- Collaborating with application, reporting and database teams to deliver business-critical solutions \n
- Conducting code reviews and maintaining development standards \n
- Improving the performance, availability and scalability of data platforms \n
- Keeping up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices \n

Key Experience
\nWe're looking for candidates who have:
\n- \n
- Strong commercial experience within a Data Engineering, Data Warehouse or SQL Development role \n
- Expert knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics and/or Microsoft Fabric \n
- Extensive experience with SQL Server (2016 onwards) \n
- Advanced T-SQL skills including stored procedures, views and user-defined functions \n
- Experience building and maintaining ETL processes, data integrations and pipelines \n
- Strong knowledge of Analysis Services and DAX \n
- Experience managing SQL database security and permissions \n
- Previous experience leading, mentoring or managing engineers \n
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and documentation skills \n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities \n
- Must be currently based in the UK \n
- Must have full, unrestricted right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, sponsorship is not available for this position. \n
