Your Role\n

As a One-to-One Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Mentor and support one pupil or a small group of no more than six pupils.
  • \n
  • Assist the classroom teacher during lessons and help with lesson planning.
  • \n
  • Report on pupils' progress and collaborate with staff to meet their needs.
  • \n
  • Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extracurricular activities and school trips.
  • \n
  • Set work where appropriate and provide feedback through marking.
  • \n
  • Build positive relationships with pupils to drive engagement and learning outcomes.
  • \n
What We’re Looking For\n

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A strong educational background, ideally to A-level, with at least GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics.
  • \n
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • \n
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
  • \n
  • Confidence to take on additional responsibilities, such as food hygiene or school activities.
  • \n
  • Skills in behaviour management and a commitment to professional development.
  • \n
Working Conditions\n

This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term position, working term time only. The salary ranges from £21,257.48 to £23,232.69.
