Procurement/Purchasing Assistant, Central LondonAn exciting Procurement/Purchasing Assistant role with a salary of £28,000 to £35,000 plus bonus and career progression opportunities for a role based in our Marylebone, London office. Ideal for candidates who have started their CIPS journey.We are offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Procurement/Purchasing Assistant with an immediate start at a market leading, dynamic and renowned property, technology and innovative, technology-based car parking company. Euro Car Parks is a market leading, renowned UK business, established over 50 years ago. The company operates over 3500 sites across the UK and Ireland providing specialist services to a wide range of blue-chip clients.The roleWe are looking for someone with previous experience in procurement and purchasing, who takes pride in their work and wants to learn and develop within the roleMain ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with the Purchasing Manager across the procurement functionAssisting with the day to day procurement process and activity, ensuring optimal supplier performanceBeing part of the end to end procurement processes including, document preparation, negotiations, contract awarding and supplier managementEnsuring purchasing activities reflect diverse requirements and overall business goals, as well as complying with all regulatory standardsDeveloping strong relationships with key suppliers and managing ongoing contractual relationshipsRegularly reviewing long term agreements with existing suppliersMonitoring and improving supplier performance (delivery, price and quality)Negotiating and agreeing contracts, monitoring the quality of service providedProviding continuous business and market analysis and bench markingIdentifying new suppliers, agreeing terms and negotiating supply agreements where appropriateDevising and implementing action plans to reduces costs and improving service delivery timeReviewing and enhancing ongoing processes and systems and developing new strategies where necessaryHandling responsibility for the complete stock management, stock control and stock disposalDocumenting physical supply chain processes such as workflowsMonitoring all lead times and delivery costsProducing statistical reports and analysis on spending and cost savingSkills:Has previous proven excellent negotiation and skillsHave proven experience in a buying/supply chain roleBe a strong negotiator to lead commercial and contractual negotiations with potential and existing suppliers on behalf of the business.Be a confident and clear communicator who can effectively liaise with stakeholders of all levels from a variety of teams across the business.Be an energetic, fast learner who is willing to take a hands-on approach.
