Business Architect - Technology Infrastructure
\n£600 per day (Inside IR35)
\nHybrid working - 3 days on site in Bristol
\nWe are seeking an experienced Business Architect to support a major operational infrastructure programme within a highly regulated, enterprise-scale environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-profile transformation initiative, working across complex digital and operational change projects.
\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and delivering business architecture solutions across large-scale infrastructure and IT programmes, partnering with senior stakeholders, architects, and third-party delivery teams to drive effective business outcomes.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Engage with senior stakeholders to define project concepts, business objectives, scope, risks, and dependencies \n
- Lead business architecture activities across operational infrastructure and IT-focused initiatives \n
- Capture, analyse, challenge, and prioritise business requirements and success measures \n
- Develop investment cases, mandates, and business change proposals \n
- Collaborate with architects and delivery partners to evaluate and recommend solution options \n
- Ensure business requirements are maintained throughout the project life cycle \n
- Support business readiness, process walkthroughs, and business acceptance testing \n
- Drive continuous improvement using industry best practices and emerging technologies \n
- Oversee and quality assure deliverables from third-party business architecture resources \n
Essential Experience

- Proven experience delivering business architecture change within complex enterprise environments \n
- Strong background in business process analysis, process design, and operating model improvement \n
- Experience working on IT infrastructure or operational infrastructure projects \n
- Excellent stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and communication skills \n
- Experience developing business cases and investment proposals for large-scale transformation programmes \n
- Knowledge of formal project delivery methodologies such as PRINCE2 and associated governance processes \n
- Experience supporting RFI/ITT activities and vendor evaluation processes \n
- Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to translate business needs into practical solutions \n
Desirable Experience

- Experience within heavily regulated, secure, or safety-critical environments \n
- Understanding of governance, compliance, and regulatory considerations within complex organisations \n
- Exposure to large-scale digital transformation programmes \n
