QED Legal
Leeds, ENG, GB
Full Time
Job Description
Banking — Legal Director (with partner track) or Junior Partner, 8+ PQE, corporate-led firm, £90,000–£120,000\n
\n
\n A well-regarded firm with a busy corporate practice has a recurring problem: the banking work running through its deals has nowhere to go in-house. It currently gets farmed out or turned away. The firm wants that to stop - and it wants someone to build the capability that ends it.\n
\n
\n There is no banking team yet. This is the mandate to create one, with the firm's backing and a pipeline of existing deal-related work to draw on from the outset. The platform, the internal referrals and the room to hire are already in place; what's missing is the person to lead it.\n
\n
\n Partnership here doesn't hinge on arriving with a ready-made following. The business case is already made - the corporate team is generating the work, and the firm has decided it wants this offering. The right person consolidates that internal flow while building new clients alongside it, rather than being asked to prove a book before they've started.\n
\n
\n It suits a banking lawyer ready to run their own show - perhaps one whose route to partnership has stalled behind business - case or origination requirements elsewhere.\n
\n
\n Apply online or contact Chris at QED Legal to find out more about this or similar opportunities.
