We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join a leading steel distribution business based in Cradley Heath. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional driver looking for ongoing, full-time work with a consistent weekday schedule.

The Role\n

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering steel products to commercial customers, manufacturers and construction sites across the region. You will be driving a flatbed vehicle, ensuring all loads are safely secured before transport and delivered on time.

\n

This role requires a strong focus on safety and load security. Experience using ratchet straps and securing steel loads is highly desirable.

    Delivering steel products to customer sites

    • \n
  • \n

    Operating a flatbed HGV Class 2 vehicle

    • \n
  • \n

    Securing loads using straps and other approved restraint equipment

    • \n
  • \n

    Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks

    • \n
  • \n

    Completing delivery paperwork accurately

    • \n
  • \n

    Providing a professional and courteous service to customers

    • \n
  • \n

    Complying with all UK driving hours, tachograph and health & safety regulations

    • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • \n

    Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence

    • \n
  • \n

    Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card

    • \n
  • \n

    Valid Digital Tachograph Card

    • \n
  • \n

    Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience

    • \n
  • \n

    Flatbed driving and load strapping experience is highly desirable

    • \n
  • \n

    Good understanding of load security and safe transport practices

    • \n
  • \n

    Good knowledge of UK driving hours and tachograph regulations

    • \n
  • \n

    Professional, reliable and safety-conscious attitude

    • \n
