We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer in Gloucestershire who is looking to add a Graduate Design Engineer to their growing engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to begin their career within a supportive manufacturing environment, working alongside experienced engineers on the design and development of new and existing products.

The Role

As a Graduate Design Engineer, you'll be involved in the design process from concept through to manufacture, gaining exposure to the full product lifecycle while developing your technical skills.

Key responsibilities include:

• Producing 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings.
\n
• Assisting with the design and development of new products.
\n
• Supporting modifications and improvements to existing designs.
\n
• Creating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation.
\n
• Working closely with manufacturing, production and quality teams.
\n
• Assisting with prototype builds, testing and product validation.
\n
• Ensuring designs are practical, cost-effective and suitable for manufacture.
\n
• Supporting continuous improvement projects across the engineering function.
\n

About You

\n
• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering or a similar engineering discipline.
\n
• Experience using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo or Solid Edge.
\n
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
\n
• Good communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
\n
• Placement year, internship or manufacturing experience would be advantageous but isn't essential.
\n
