We are exploring the potential to add a Science Lecturer to our academic team at a progressive college in South London. This role could be available on a temporary or permanent basis, with options for full-time or part-time hours. The ideal candidate will have a robust passion for science and a commitment to high-quality education.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver engaging lectures and laboratory sessions across various scientific disciplines, ensuring content is both current and stimulating.
\n
• Develop and prepare course materials, such as syllabi, homework assignments, and lab exercises.
\n
• Assess and grade students' class work, laboratory performance, assignments, and papers.
\n
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other necessary documentation.
\n
• Facilitate, initiate, and moderate classroom and laboratory discussions.
\n
• Keep up-to-date with recent scientific research and integrate this knowledge into your teaching.
\n
• Provide academic and career advice to students, helping them to achieve their potential.
\n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Science or a related field.
\n
• Demonstrated experience as a Science Lecturer or in a similar educational role.
\n
• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific concepts and a strong ability to convey these to students.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\n
• A proven track record of motivating and inspiring students.
\n
• Flexible to work in a potential role, either full-time or part-time, and on a temporary or permanent basis.
