Cloud Database Engineer - AWS

Are you an experienced Cloud Database Engineer with a strong background in Amazon Web Services (AWS)? We're looking for a talented engineer to join a growing technology team, supporting and developing secure, high-performing cloud database platforms.

AWS experience is essential for this role, with hands-on knowledge of services including RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, IAM, SNS and CloudWatch.

As a Cloud Database Engineer, you'll be responsible for the performance, availability, security and continuous improvement of cloud database environments. You'll work closely with DevOps, Cloud Architects and Software Engineering teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions while driving automation and Infrastructure as Code.

• Manage and optimise AWS-hosted database platforms.

• Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
\n
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines.
\n
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
\n
• Build automation to improve operational efficiency.
\n
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
\n

Essential Skills

Strong commercial AWS experience (essential), including:

• Amazon RDS
\n
• DynamoDB
\n
• Lambda
\n
• IAM
\n
• SNS
\n
• CloudWatch
\n

You'll also have experience with:

• PostgreSQL
\n
• Terraform
\n
• Git/GitLab
\n
• Jenkins and CI/CD
\n
• Python
\n
