\nThis is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical/Design Engineer, based in the Northwest.
\nRole Description
\nProject Engineering
\n- \n
- Manage Electrical Engineering projects from design (based upon information provided) through to delivery. \n
- Prepare project plans, schedules, progress reports, and technical deliverables. \n
- Support commissioning, testing, fault finding, and system integration activities. \n
Electrical Design & Technical Documentation
\n- \n
- Produce and review electrical system designs for marine and defence applications. \n
- Generate design documentation in accordance with MOD requirements and company procedures. \n
- Create and maintain: \n
- Electrical schematics \n
- Single line diagrams \n
- Cable schedules \n
- Equipment specifications \n
- Interface documentation \n
- Test procedures \n
- Technical reports \n
- Support design reviews and engineering change processes. \n
Defence & MOD Documentation
\n- \n
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation to MOD standards. \n
- Support the development of defence-related technical publications and engineering reports. \n
- Contribute to configuration management activities and design assurance processes. \n
- Ensure documentation complies with applicable defence writing and documentation standards. \n
Site & Customer Support
\n- \n
- Attend Vessels, Shipyards, Naval establishments, and customer facilities as required. \n
- Support installation, commissioning, acceptance trials, and customer demonstrations. \n
- Provide technical guidance and engineering support during project execution. \n

- Capable of working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. \n
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK and overseas when required. \n
- Minimum of HNC/HND qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering; will consider Candidates with similar qualifications, in the same field, if they can provide evidence of their experience \n
Desirable Requirements
\n- \n
- Experience working on Royal Navy or MOD programmes. \n
- Knowledge of marine electrical installation and commissioning activities. \n
- Experience with configuration management and design assurance processes. \n
- Understanding of systems engineering methodologies. \n
- Membership of a relevant professional engineering institution or working towards professional registration (EngTech/IEng). \n
