We are looking for a dedicated Team Leader to join our 4-bed children's home in Weston-super-Mare.If you're passionate about supporting young people, promoting their wellbeing and helping them reach their full potential, we'd love to hear from you.What We OfferHoliday allowancePension scheme with a 3% employer contributionOfsted bonus of £200 for a Good report and £500 for an Outstanding reportEmployee Discount SchemeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeA sleep-in allowance of £46 per night, as required by the needs of the businessAbout the RoleIn this role, you will ensure young people receive a safe, positive and nurturing living experience while leading and supporting the Residential Support Worker team to deliver high-quality care.Work shifts to ensure the home runs safely, smoothly and in line with safeguarding expectationsLead and supervise Residential Support Workers, promoting best practice and acting as a positive role modelMaintain up-to-date knowledge of policies, procedures, legislation and the home's Statement of Purpose, and guide staff in applying theseBuild strong, professional relationships with multi-agency partners, families and the wider communitySupport care planning, young people's reviews and progress against individual plansEncourage young people to participate in decision-making within the home and the communityPromote equality and anti-discriminatory practice, and uphold all health & safety and data protection requirementsAttend required training and support QCF learners where neededEssential SkillsHave a good standard of education and be working towards, or hold, a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalentHave a strong understanding of childcare legislation, Children's Homes Regulations and Quality StandardsExperience supporting young people with challenging behavioursBe confident in report writing, numeracy, general administration and ITBe able to build positive, empathetic relationships with young people and be committed to achieving the best outcomesHave a motivational and supportive leadership style, with the ability to supervise and develop staffHave knowledge of national and local safeguarding procedures and protocolsHeadway Adolescent Resources is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates.Headway Adolescent Resources is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment.All candidates will be subject to thorough reference checks, including an enhanced DBS check.Safeguarding young people is at the heart of everything we do.TPBN1_UKTJ
