ROOM LEADER Cottenham Salary: £30,000–£32,000 per annum Age group: 0–2 years Qualification: Level 3 Early Years qualification or above Start date: 7 September 2026 The role Great Starts Recruitment is working with an Early Years setting in Cottenham to recruit an enthusiastic Room Leader for the 0–2 years age group. You will lead the room team, set a strong example in practice and make sure every child receives high-quality care and learning. Key responsibilities • Lead the room team and ensure children receive high-quality care, learning and support throughout the day. • Plan and oversee engaging, age-appropriate experiences in line with the EYFS and children's individual needs. • Maintain safe staffing, ratios, routines, safeguarding practice and a stimulating learning environment. • Support, guide and motivate practitioners, promoting consistent practice and professional development. • Develop strong relationships with parents and carers and maintain clear records of children's progress. What we're looking for • A full and relevant Early Years qualification at Level 3. • A sound understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding responsibilities. • Previous leadership or senior Early Years experience appropriate to the level of the role. • Confident communication, organisation and team-leadership skills.
