Located in the heart of Banbury, Oxon, our school is dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for up to 84 pupils aged 5 to 18 with complex needs. We believe in fostering a positive atmosphere where every child feels valued, respected, and empowered. Your Role and Responsibilities\n

As a SEN Class Teacher, you will:

\n

\n
• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum, tailored to meet the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
\n
• Support the class team in facilitating engaging learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviors.
\n
• Monitor and report on pupils' progress, collaborating with other school staff to ensure every child's needs are met.
\n
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extracurricular activities and school trips.
\n
• Build positive relationships with your pupils, driving interaction and fostering positive learning outcomes.
\n

What We’re Looking For\n

To thrive in this role, you should:

\n

\n
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
\n
• Have a strong educational background, ideally to degree level.
\n
• Possess previous successful teaching experience.
\n
• Have experience working with pupils with SEMH needs in an educational setting.
\n
• Be skilled in behavior management techniques.
\n
• Be committed to your professional development and eager to learn.
\n
• Be willing to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
\n
• Have your own transport and a valid driver's license.
\n

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which will be covered by Polaris Education.
