Adaptable Recruitment are excited to be working with a thriving business based in Liverpool City Centre who is looking to recruit an experienced Pension Payroll Administrator to join their vibrant team.Salary and BenefitsUp to £34000 per annum25 days holiday + Bank HolidayPrivate Medical after a qualifying period4 x salary death in service benefitJob Duties and ResponsibilitiesPayroll ProcessingProcess regular and ad-hoc pension payrolls (monthly, quarterly, annual)Calculate and process: Pension income paymentsTax deductions (PAYE)Lump sums, drawdown payments, and death benefitsEnsure all payments are authorised and released within agreed SLAsTax & ComplianceApply PAYE tax codes in line with HM Revenue & Customs requirementsSubmit Real Time Information (RTI) reports accurately and on timeProcess P45s, P60s, and year-end tax reconciliationsMaintain compliance with pension legislation and internal controlsMember & Adviser SupportRespond to member, IFA, and third-party queries relating to payroll and paymentsProvide clear, accurate explanations of tax and payment calculationsSupport vulnerable customers in line with Consumer Duty expectationsSystems & Data ManagementMaintain accurate member records across payroll and administration systemsUpdate tax codes, bank details, and payment instructionsSupport system testing, upgrades, and process improvementsContinuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and efficiencySupport automation and standardisation initiativesContribute to operational KPIs and service delivery reportingKey Skills & ExperienceEssentialStrong understanding of PAYE and pension taxationKnowledge of RTI submissions and HMRC requirementsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple payroll cycles and deadlinesDesirableExperience with pension administration platformsUnderstanding of drawdown and complex benefit paymentsExperience in a regulated financial services environmentExperience in pension payroll administrationCompetenciesStrong organisational and time management skillsAnalytical and problem-solving abilityClear and professional communicationCustomer-focused mindsetAbility to work independently and as part of a teamTPBN1_UKTJ
