Inspire a Love of Learning from the Very Start\nVeritas Education are delighted to be working in partnership with a highly regarded, nurturing and inclusive primary school in Clitheroe to recruit an enthusiastic, caring and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a fixed-term contract.

\nAs the Year 2 Teacher, you will play an important role in preparing pupils for their transition into Key Stage 2 by delivering engaging, creative and ambitious learning experiences. You will foster children's confidence in phonics, reading, writing and mathematics while nurturing independence, resilience and a genuine enthusiasm for learning. Working alongside an experienced and collaborative Key Stage 1 team, you will ensure every child is supported, challenged and celebrated throughout this important stage of their education.

The successful candidate will:\n- \n
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). \n
- Have a strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum, including phonics, early reading and end of Key Stage 1 expectations. \n
- Deliver engaging, creative and well-structured lessons that inspire every child to enjoy learning. \n
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and consistently high expectations for behaviour, achievement and presentation. \n
- Use effective assessment strategies to identify next steps and support individual pupil progress. \n
- Build positive and nurturing relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues. \n
- Work collaboratively as part of a supportive and dedicated Key Stage 1 team. \n
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and additional learning needs. \n
- Be committed to ensuring every child achieves their full academic, social and emotional potential. \n
