Supply chain and Logistics Coordinator
\nLocation: Kettering, Northamptonshire
\nHours: Monday to Friday dayshift

\nAbout the Role
\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supply Chain and Logistics Coordinator to join a well-established consumer goods business.
\nThis role sits within the Supply Chain function and is responsible for coordinating freight movements, supporting customs compliance activities, managing logistics partners, and ensuring products are delivered on time and within budget.
\nWorking closely with internal stakeholders, manufacturing partners, distribution centres, and freight providers, you will help drive operational efficiency, maintain service levels, and support across international markets.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nFreight & Logistics
\nMonitor logistics performance against agreed KPIs and identify opportunities for service improvements and cost savings.
\nConduct regular reviews of shipment performance and service levels with global distribution centres.
\nIdentify and implement process improvements to streamline transportation and shipping activities.
\nDevelop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
\nLead operational reviews with distribution centres, resolving issues relating to deliveries, packaging, and stock handling processes.
\nMonitor critical inbound shipments, samples, and key delivery deadlines.
\nLiaise with international manufacturing partners to ensure smooth movement of goods through the supply chain.
\nSupport Operations, Planning, and Purchasing teams with freight cost analysis and scenario planning.
\nManage relationships with freight forwarding providers and conduct regular business reviews.
\nAct as a key point of contact for courier and logistics-related matters.
\nReview and approve freight and courier invoices.
\nMonitor logistics spend and supplier performance.
\nCustoms & Compliance
\nCarry out monthly audits of customs and import data to ensure accurate duty payments and compliance with regulations.
\nMaintain accurate records of:
\nCommodity/HS codes
\nTariff classifications
\nProduct values
\nCountry of origin information
\nApplicable duty rates
\nReview and approve customs declarations and freight invoices.
\nSupport preparation for customs and regulatory audits.
\nEnsure compliance with import and export procedures across all markets.
\nBuild effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support smooth operational activity.
\nReview freight provider performance and support tender exercises where required.
\nMaintain accurate delivery schedules and lead times within ERP systems.
\nContinuous Improvement
\nIdentify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and efficiencies across the supply chain function.
\nParticipate in and support cross-functional improvement projects.
\nContribute to ongoing operational and customer service enhancements.
\nAbout You
\nWe are looking for a highly organised supply chain professional with strong logistics and customs knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
\nEssential Skills & Experience
\n2-3 years' experience within logistics, supply chain, freight, customs, or operations.
\nStrong understanding of customs regulations, import/export procedures, shipping documentation, and Incoterms.
\nExperience reviewing customs or import data and ensuring regulatory compliance.
\nExcellent planning, organisation, and coordination skills.
\nStrong analytical ability with experience interpreting large volumes of data.
\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
\nAbility to build relationships across both internal teams and external partners.
\nStrong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
\nExperience using ERP systems and supply chain software.
\nDesirable
\nPrevious experience managing third-party logistics providers or freight forwarders.
\nKnowledge of international distribution and global supply chain operations.
