Mechanical Engineer

Salary: Up to £44,000

Location: Gainsborough

\n

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm, with some flexibility around planned shutdowns

Job Role of the Mechanical Engineer

\n

A leading manufacturing business is currently recruiting for a mechanically biased engineer to join its established engineering team.

\n

The Mechanical Engineer will complete planned maintenance across a range of production equipment, alongside supporting breakdowns when required. The role will involve mechanical fault finding, blade changes, lubrication and continuous improvement activities across a fast-paced manufacturing site.

\n

Sector - Factory Maintenance

\n

Non-Negotiable Requirements for the Mechanical Engineer

\n
    \n
  • Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline\n

    • \n
  • Mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing or production environment\n

    • \n
  • Experience completing planned preventative maintenance\n

    • \n
  • Mechanical fault-finding and breakdown experience\n

    • \n
\n

Requirements for the Mechanical Engineer

\n
    \n
  • Apprentice-trained or suitably experienced in mechanical maintenance\n

    • \n
  • Experience working on conveyors and production machinery\n

    • \n
  • Ability to install and set up blades to tight tolerances\n

    • \n
  • Understanding of safe maintenance practices and Health & Safety procedures\n

    • \n
  • Experience completing maintenance records and PPM documentation\n

    • \n
  • Ability to work closely with Engineering and Operations teams\n

    • \n
\n

Desirable Requirements for the Mechanical Engineer

  • Welding and fabrication experience\n

    • \n
  • Food, FMCG, agricultural or heavy-industrial experience\n

    • \n
  • Continuous improvement and downtime-reduction experience\n

    • \n
\n
