Design Manager | South Wales | Major £90m Construction Project | Excellent Salary + Package A leading and highly reputable main contractor is about to commence a prestigious £90 million construction scheme in South Wales , creating an excellent opportunity for an experienced Design Manager to join the project from the outset.This is a rare chance to take ownership of the design process on a flagship development, working alongside a highly experienced project team and ensuring successful coordination from pre-construction through to completion.The Role As Design Manager, you'll lead and coordinate the design process, ensuring information is produced, reviewed and issued in line with programme requirements. You'll work closely with consultants, subcontractors, clients and the operational team to deliver practical, buildable and commercially effective design solutions.Key Responsibilities Manage the design process throughout the project lifecycleCoordinate consultant and subcontractor design informationEnsure design deliverables meet programme requirementsChair design team meetings and manage design workshopsIdentify and resolve design and technical issues proactivelyCollaborate with site, commercial and planning teams to ensure smooth project deliveryDrive value engineering and buildability throughout the projectRequirements Previous experience as a Design Manager with a main contractorProven track record delivering large construction projects (£50m+ desirable)Strong technical understanding of construction methodologiesExcellent communication and coordination skillsExperience managing consultant teams and design programmesRelevant construction qualificationWhat's on Offer?
