Head of IT£110,000 + BenefitsMulti-Site Supply Chain & Logistics Business | Hybrid WorkingA leading UK logistics and supply chain organisation is seeking an experienced Head of IT to lead technology operations across a complex, multi-site environment.This is a key leadership appointment, providing strategic oversight of business systems, infrastructure, service delivery and operational technology across a highly service-focused organisation.Working alongside senior stakeholders, the successful candidate will drive technology performance, strengthen governance, develop internal capability and ensure IT continues to support business growth and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities\n

  • Provide leadership and direction to a multi-site IT function supporting operational and business-critical systems.
  • \n
  • Ensure the reliability, resilience and performance of technology services within a fast-paced 24/7 operating environment.
  • \n
  • Drive improvements across service management, governance, change control and incident management processes.
  • \n
  • Develop strong relationships with operational, commercial and executive stakeholders across the business.
  • \n
  • Lead the ongoing enhancement of warehouse, transport and operational technology platforms.
  • \n
  • Partner with internal and external technology teams to deliver projects, improvements and business change initiatives.
  • \n
  • Build organisational capability through coaching, succession planning and team development.
  • \n
  • Support technology-enabled business change, systems integration and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • \n
Experience & Expertise\n
    \n
  • Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role within logistics, warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, FMCG, or another operationally intensive environment.
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transport Management Systems (TMS), and their integration into wider business operations.
  • \n
  • Track record of leading multi-site IT teams and delivering high levels of service in business-critical environments.
  • \n
  • Experience establishing governance, service management disciplines, and operational best practice.
  • \n
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at both executive and operational level.
  • \n
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to balance technology investment against operational and customer requirements.
  • \n
LocationHybrid role with regular travel across operational sites in the Midlands and Northern England, alongside occasional wider UK travel.
