We are on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic Endocrinology Physician to become part of our team in Muskegon, Michigan. This role presents an exciting chance to significantly contribute to the health of our community while thriving in a supportive, mission-oriented setting.

Opportunity Overview

  • Position Type: 1.0 FTE (flexible)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
  • Location: Muskegon, MI
  • Specialty: Diabetes & Endocrinology
  • Hospital Information: On-call support for Grand Rapids and Muskegon hospitals
  • Team Composition: Muskegon includes 2 Endocrinologists, 1 DNP, and 5 support staff. The Grand Rapids office has 5 Endocrinologists, 4 APP/PAs, and 20 support staff (serving both locations), along with 2 CDCES RDs and 2 RN CDCES (accredited education program).
  • Teaching Opportunities: Yes - for Residents, Medical Students, and Fellows
  • Call Requirements: 6-7 weeks annually

Qualifications

  • Open to both new graduates and experienced professionals
  • Board certified in the relevant clinical specialty or must achieve certification within the timeline set by the applicable specialty board.
  • Fellowship required: Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism
  • Active Michigan medical license (or the ability to obtain one)
  • DEA license

Responsibilities

A typical day may involve:

  • Delivering direct patient care
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Engaging in teaching and mentoring activities
  • Documenting patient information in Epic EMR
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives
  • Supporting community health initiatives
