Obstetrics and Gynecology Faculty Position Available

Our organization is on the lookout for a dedicated faculty member in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology to join our General OB/GYN Division. With a rich history of pioneering advancements in women's reproductive health care, we have made significant contributions, including the development of the Apgar score, the first amniocentesis test in the nation, and the creation of RhoGAM, which has dramatically reduced Rh-incompatibility issues that previously led to numerous fetal and neonatal complications.

Situated within a vibrant medical community, our institution boasts a collaborative environment where over 100 physicians and more than 40 post-graduate residents and fellows work alongside researchers and clinicians to address women's health needs. We are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, training the next generation of Ob/Gyn leaders, supporting innovative research, and integrating these advancements into clinical practice.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care.
  • Manage general obstetrics and gynecology patients and perform gynecologic surgeries.
  • Engage in all clinical and academic activities within our dynamic department.
  • Provide care at affiliated hospitals and outpatient practices located in Midtown and Washington Heights.
  • Contribute to the education of residents and medical students while advancing academic scholarship.
  • Embrace opportunities for leadership and professional development within an academic medical setting.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid New York Medical License.
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified status.

  • Interest in participating in community-based healthcare practices.
  • Dedication to evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, bedside manner, and organizational abilities.
  • Passion for medical education, including teaching residents, medical students, and nursing students.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various disciplines and specialties (e.g., RN, CNM, NP).
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
