Job Description
Our organization, dedicated to serving the culturally diverse communities in Queens, New York, is on the lookout for a physician leader to fill the role of Chief of Orthopedics. This position is crucial for overseeing the provision of exceptional care for various musculoskeletal conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the administration, planning, organization, and overall management of the Orthopedics Department.
- Develop and implement a strategic vision focused on quality, growth, and operational efficiency.
- Assist in creating new clinical programs tailored to the needs of our community patients.
- Deliver a comprehensive range of orthopedic care and services to patients across all age groups.
- Must possess an MD or DO degree.
- Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery is required.
- A valid New York State medical license, DEA registration, and Medicaid number are necessary.
- Strong clinical skills, teaching experience, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are essential.
- Prior experience in management or leadership roles, particularly within academic medical centers or public health systems, is preferred.
This role includes a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, which will be aligned with your credentials, experience, and qualifications.
