DUTIES: Responsible for all aspects of teaching including but not limited to the development and
implementation of Next Generation Learning Standards/Curriculum, instruction, assessment, student supervision, home/school communication, progress monitoring, etc. Serve as collegial team member in a dynamic K-12 educational setting. Depending on placement, provide instruction to middle school/high school students with disabilities and behavior concerns grades 7-8. Maintain student records consistent with State and Federal regulations. Previous experience with students with emotional / behavioral disabilities preferred. Perform other duties as required.
* This position requires the ability and desire to work with school age students with learning, emotional and
behavioral disabilities in an 8:1:1 BOCES setting.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be New York State Certified Students with Disabilities 712 Generalist OR hold
NYS Special Education Cert. K-12 AND Statement of Continued Eligibility (or limited extension) in all or some
combination of ELA, Math, Social Studies, General Science/Biology OR New York State Certified Students with
Disabilities 712 with dual certification 7-12 in ONE subject area. (Previous experience working with students
with emotional/behavioral disabilities is preferred.)
START DATE: September 1, 2026 or as soon as possible
SALARY: $58,000 (2026-2027 base salary), with additional credit for prior experience, Masters Degree and
Graduate Credits. Excellent benefits are available.
